Thordale Stud is a small Icelandic Horse stud situated in Shetland, United Kingdom.
Our breeding stock of Icelandic horses is carefully chosen and imported directly from Iceland.
Our Icelandic horses are trained to be ridden and to show clear gaits. They make good competition, show, riding or family horses with an emphasis on exemplary temperaments and excellent manners.
Previously a Shetland pony stud, Thordale is also home to The Minions — six rescued Shetland ponies, who keep us on our toes — and two of the original Thordale Shetland Stud mares, who are media stars!
